Value engineering (VE) is Systematic method to improve the "Value" of Good or Products and Services by using an examination of Function. Value as defined is the Ratio of function to cost. Value can be there for be increased by either improving the function or reducing the cost. Human Factors Engineering and Ergonomics (HFEE) is Concerned with the ways of designing jobs, machines, operations, and work environments sot they are compatible with human capacities and their limitations.

 Value engineering is to provide alternative solution to the existing design or methods so as to avoid unwanted extra costs.it is a discipline specific job.

where as ergonomics is to  a develop a product keeping in mind  the factors for comfort and safety of humans .It combines the ideas from  different disciplines to perform the job.
