Involving the followers by identifying the SWOT of his team must take a leader and organization to next level

As per my experience in the industry, participatory mode of leadership has to be followed where the leader should be a role model, must be posses instructive mode than destructive mode.

·         Encourage other people to talk and be a good active listener.

·         Follow the greatest leadership rule ever given

·         Set a high bar for people and let them know you believe in their ability to succeed.

·         If you are wrong, be honest and humble enough to admit it.

·         Be respectful of other people’s ideas and opinions. Try to see things from their point of view.

·         Praise improvement, even minor improvements.

To be a good team leader, one must understand the true concept of leadership. The first and far most important feature of a leader is to have followers. To have followers that defines you as a leader, you must also understand the process of how to be a good leader. Here are some basic concepts that a leader must follow to gain the follower's trust:

  • Be fair;
  • Be a good listener;
  • Never ask for the impossible;
  • Give the opportunity to the right people to prove themselves;
  • Don't be too soft that they can squeeze you or too hard that they can break you;
  • be brave; and
  • Be honest.

In my opinion, these are the most important facts that makes you a good leader.
