What would be the first step you will take when you encounter with the issue of BLUE SCREEN on Computer system?

i will first change the hard disk drive(HDD)

Ram change then VGA change

Well carefully understand error message and error number then i'll figure out the way to solve it. 

If blue dump error is coming first need to check the error msg related to Memory or HDD. According to error msg take an action. Most of the time blue dump error is come when memory having an issue.

Turn off and make sure that your computer is unplug to avoid unecessary electrical shock in your computer, then open the case of your computer, remove the memory card and clean the gold part of it, maybe it is only loose connection between the slot and the memory card. This might help for temporary for recovering or saving your data to other devices before the system crush.

I think the first step is to look for an error message on the blue screen. Blue screen of death is serious matter. Before changing the hard drive ,should do a hard drive self test the long one.It may give a failure id that the hard drive has gone bad.  If the message is HARD DRIVE DOES NOT EXIST should reseat the hard drive and if that does not work should replace the hard drive. If the hard drive is ok should try recovery or reset in win8.If recovery does not work from the recovery partition should try running in from recovery cds. Make the computer boot from the cd rom drive to run recovery cd .
