The main protocol used in all internet operations.Tcp/ip also is a layered protocol but does not use all of the osi layers, through the layers are equivalent  in operation and function.tcp/ip is the communication protocol that allows for connections of hosts to the internet.osi,on the other hand ,is a communication gateway between the network and the end users.tcp/ip refers to the transmission control protocol usrd in and by its applications on the internet.

the difference between osi and tcp ip is :OSI is the begginer idea and the logest model to be refrance for all point  OSI is fouces how the data move from (( 01010 )) to upgraded  to can  see as interface . OSI  7 layers  with more protocols at every layer

TCP IP is very shorted and marge more layers to be one layers with out any  difference .. it creatied by  DOD (( American development of defence ))

The OSI is a standard "reference model" created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to describe how the different software and hardware components involved in a network communication should divide labor and interact with one another. It defines a seven-layer set of functional elements, ranging from the physical interconnections at Layer 1 all the way up to Layer 7, the application layer.

The TCP defines how applications can create reliable channels of communication across such a network. Basically TCP defines how to have a conversation across the link without garbling or losing data.

The difference between the two lies in the fact that the first tcp inventions to solve a realistic problem in communication, while OSI is a theoretical rather than practical.
