I am interested in learning ERP Accounting but I don't have resources to pay the fees. Further I would like to learn on net.
Accounting package handles only individual business functions of accounts whereas Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) package handles the entire range of business functions of an organization.
ERP system is a fully integrated business management system covering functional areas of an enterprise like Finance, Human Resources, Production, Sales and Logistics etc. It organizes and integrates operation processes and information flows to make optimum use of resources such as men, material, money and machine. ERP is a tightly integrated closed loop business solution package.
ERP system enhances a manufacturer ability to accurately schedule production, fully utilize capacity, reduce inventory, and meet promised shipping dates
Thank You very much i do appreciate your reply
Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is a cross-functional enterprise system driven by an integrated suite of software modules that supports the basic internal business processes of a company. ERP gives a company an integrated real-time view of its core business processes such as production, order processing, and inventory management, tied together by ERP applications software and a common database maintained by a database management system. ERP systems track business resources (such as cash, raw materials, and production capacity) and the status of commitments made by the business (such as customer orders, purchase orders, and employee payroll), no matter which department (manufacturing, purchasing, sales, accounting, and so on) has entered the data into the system. ERP facilitates information flow between all business functions inside the organization, and manages connections to outside stakeholders.
Hi Asad,
In accounting, ERP is the acronym for enterprise resource planning. ERP could be described as a database software package that supports all of a business’s processes and operations including manufacturing, marketing, financial, human resources, and so on. In other words, the goal of ERP is to have one integrated system for the entire company.
The integration of all of a company’s information from all departments, processes, operations, etc. requires that an ERP system be very sophisticated. This in turn requires a company to commit considerable resources for planning, training, and implementing an ERP system.
An ERP can handle multiple warehouse, multiple company and more.
Check out this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cp9F9MU47SI for more and better learning of the ERP software.
You can get online notes for the ERP in here http://www.mybookezzz.com/tally-erp-9-learning-notes/.
An ERP solution is fully integrated software that allows communication across all areas of the business. ERP software applications can be used to manage product planning, parts purchasing, inventories, interacting with suppliers, providing customer service, and tracking orders. ERP can also include application modules for the finance and human resources aspects of a business.
Dear Asad
In ERP we their is no need to worry about accounting entries etc. as ERP do that for you once we link all the accounts properly.. The main thing to learn in an ERP are different modules like Finance module which involves all the Financial transactions, A/R, A/P, Other modules include Human resource, Supply chain, Costing, Marketing etc. So try to find out which module suits you best and than search it on google or you tube.
