A teacher is one whom still operates using older, more traditional approaches of the educator providing the information to students; via "sit and get" modalities.  Over time; however, as more information regarding best practices and student learning and development, we understand that this method is not only a thing of the fast, it is actually not effective.  Instead, students need to engage in authentic and hands on learning opportunities, in which the ratio shifts from the teacher to that of the students.  Students are doing the talking, thinking, writing, building connections etc.  The teacher, then, takes on the role of more of a facilititator or instructor.

Well, I think the problem with teachers is not only a direct teacher problem, it is more a problem of educational policy. Teachers are obliged to introduce techniques and innovations to their classes; the management of these techniques is beyond the scope of the teachers. Teachers lose track of their main roles and get distracted. In the past, teaching was simple- mono track; now the case is different and teachers can not cope effectively.
