Pile work is called as a work for pile foundation. Foundation is base of building to transfer all structural load to the strata of earth. When load of structure is more than bearing capacity of soil, we have to go much deeper to the hard strata of soil of which bearing capacity is much more than the designed load on it. Sometimes as we go higher we have to go deeper to resist wind load and seismic load. Going deep foundation with other category like step footing/ raft foundation/ isolated footing is not possible, so we go for pile foundation, which only can take you to the required depth of soil hard strata.

The purpose of pile work is as easy as that ,when strata beneath the surface is very weak and compressible then pile foundation is used to provide adequate strength and support to the soil in order to handle large superimposed load of structure to be built above it.

Pile foundations are recommended when the soil bearing capacity at shallow depth cannot withstand the heavy structural loads like from buildings, bridges, towers and heavy structures. These foundations also functions as a roots that stabilizes the structures from movements due to earthquakes.

Piles foundation recomend if the soil bearing capacity can not resist the load.
