Hello Mr Nadjib Rabahi,
That's a very good question! Happy to explain.
It is very vital to know the feedback of a product in the market. That's how we work on product improvement and development.
In order to know the publicity of the product in the market, there needs to be an effective market research carried out with the consumers, retailers and distributors.
This can be done through direct approach (in person, email or phone calls) or by running a field trials. Field trials can be done by placing a product in a store and observing its movement in the market very closely.
The movement of your product should also be compared with the competitors product behavior in the market. This will help us understand industry standards and also work on process improvements in order to increase the publicity.
I hope this should suffice.
Customer Engagement like feedbacks and reviews, online or offline.
The sales figure evaluate how much the product is known to the customer.
One way and best way to check the product performance in the market is by market research.
This result will not only reveal the product performance, but also ensure other aspects like improvements needed, product life cycle, etc., will help in sustaining and improving the product
Thanks for invite, agreed with experts answers.
Thanks For inviting me , i agree with Mr.Sunil
Apart from what our colleague has suggested would ask to Dig out the data for market share and volume sales, this will help you in understanding the brand acceptability.
Thanks for the invite ............................ Leave an answer to the experts
There are many ways to know how popular are your brands/products.
1. Top of the mind brand recall survey - (this will help you understand which is the most popular brand in ur segment)
2. Survey by asking specifically if your target audience are aware of your brand/ product
3. observing consumer behavior at your market place
4. Your quantity sales Vs competitors and many more
But pls note that if your product/ brand is v. popular does not necessarily equate to the same level of sales. e.g. Rolls Royce is very well known, but its annual sale is no where near to Geely (Chinese car) monthly or even weekly sale-out.
Your popularity and sales must be compared to that of your nearest competitors.
Benchmark your product against your specific target market's leader and plan your marketing activities accordingly.
