When can we use under-water seal in ICU?

Tension Pneumothorax, Haemothorax, Empyema Thoracis, Pleural Effussion

Patient with pneumothorax, haemothorax, post cardiac surgery

pneumothorax or fluid like (Plural effusion, blood, chyle) or pus.

patient with pnemothorax and haemothorax

for treathing tneumothorax with chest tube

at the time of patient has placed chest tube .

under water seal should be applied when inserting intercostal tube

we can use under water seal for patient with tension nuomothorax or hemothorax

drainage of pleural air, blood or other fluid to allow re-expansion of lung

if patient has pneumothorax and pleural fluid like haemothroax 

To drain fluids or air from the pleural space after insertion of intercostal tube
