How to Deploy ASP.NET MVC Web Application from Visual Studio 2013 to a hosting server like HostGator? Please answer step-by-step thanks.

1 - right click on the project and select publish 

2 - choose from the left menu "Connection"

3 - select ftp from dropdown list 

4 - enter your hosting web and site information

5 - click on publish

first of all, we need to publish the website to local or remote directory.

then generating scripts from our database and place it in folder with special name ex: (websiteName-Db-Date)

then we will modify the connection strings in web.config.

run the Db script on the server

check the website root folder if linked to our domain.

open your browser, type your domain in the address bar to see if it works. if not check the above steps again.

You just need to download Filezilla FTP and you can upload all your files via FTP. You can also use Visual Studio to publish your files:

1. Please open your project with Visual Studio tool

2. On the Solution Explorer windows (which is normally located on the top right hand corner of the VS tool), right click your project and select Publish

3. Please kindly publish it to a local folder, such as C:\\Project

4. Please just upload whatever files/folders you see on C:\\Project to the server via FTP and your site will work fine

firstly  we will write the program in the mvc structure in the mvc web and then we will link the data to the hosting server where we should save the data this is the process how we deploy the hosting server
