There are basic steps in manufacturing processes, these includes the following;creating the design for the products, sourcing raw materials, processing the raw materials, production and quality control and marketing.
Depending on the type of materials in production, Machinery used in the line & +Set up time as every machine has to be calibrated & set to the required size shape etc...
For instance in wood working or furniture on semi automatic machinery specifically it could be set up time as to minutes per machine in a long line of machinery to shape the wood components can sometime take longer than the total run time,
Of-course depending on shape operations needed.
While on a more modern machinery it could be the queue time,
Production means specifics as it,s specified.
Queue Time is the time which accounts for maximum of Total Lead Time.It is the time of waiting before the process happens.
Therefore,Managers must address this parameter to decrease the overall Lead Time.
