Excellent question Ayre, nobody can deny that this is one of the most common issues facing the new colleges grads who are so enthusiastic to get hired, while most of companies if not all are looking for experience and skills.

Indeed, experienced candidates will save time and resources, they don't need such a deep training to get engaged, but I believe that always there will be a chance for fresh grads to get a job.

In order to make it real, both parties should do their homework.

Fresh Grads Homework:

Don't look only for a full time job: try to obtain an internship: Once you hold your degree and your parents become proud of you, here now your trip to build your career began, off course you need a full time job, but at beginning you also have to look for internship.

Internship or volunteer job in this period is something invaluable, you are implicitly entering the market and getting the chance to understand how business is run, you are also boosting your organization skills and getting a free training that many people look for.

Knock all the doors: you don’t know who will accept your application, neither all the requirements of the employers, sometimes you are the recommended person for a job, so post for all related vacancies.

Build strong network: anywhere in the world, people who have strong network can obtain job faster, people on their nature feel more comfortable for known than other unknown people, keep on mind there is a recruitment technique called word of mouth, if somebody recommended you to a recruiter, you opportunity to get the job is% than other candidates, or at least to reach the interview.

Improve your CV: people who have extra qualifications are more eligible to get the job.

Avoid negative opinions: don’t listen to people who tells you it’s very hard to get the job, you will find many of them try to spoil your willingness to find a job and demotivate you, but remember that your life is bigger than anybody experience.

Remember that not all employers are looking for experienced employees, many jobs require only fresh grads.

 Employer Homework:

Offer Internship: Internship is the best program you can offer to engage trainees / fresh grads, though it cost you multi resources, but it will avail by boosting the Company reputation and attract top job seekers.

Efficiency Test: not all employees will have the required skills you need even if they have experience, but you may found it with fresh grads especially on entry level.

You can explore this by conducting an exam that test the efficiency of candidates.

Not all jobs require experience people: it is recommended to recruit fresh grads in specific jobs and avail their thirst to get the job, it is lower cost as well.

In many cases, with some orientation they will achieve the job the experienced people don’t seek to, for example IT Technician with2 or3 years experience are not interested to install windows, configure printers, troubleshooting, they are looking to improve their work scope by handling datacenter tools (servers, firewalls, …), therefore recruiting fresh grads is really beneficial for both.

I will leave the advice of (why we should hire new fresh graduate to more experienced people), look at the link below:
