In my opinion since the middle east is still considered a conservative country. They still prefer mostly men in the field of engineering, industrial and technical jobs. While women are dominating in the field of customer service, health care, home care marketing, teacher, and secretarial positions.
As I can see from my previous experience that Marketing, Training Sales and Teaching are all considered as gender-oriented jobs in the Middle East.
The fact that there is deep disagreement about ethical issues in the middle east shows that the gender oriented jobs in this part of the world does really exist, but with different levels depending on the country and the society in question.
I can say that administration & secretarial jobs are mostly female oriented. Transportation jobs (taxi & bus drivers) & high positions in the the government are men oriented. Otherwise, I think that men & women are equally employed nowadays depending on their competencies & skills.
Technical, customer service, hospitality
Gender differences in access to economic opportunities are frequently debated in relation to gender differences in labor market participation. Indeed, men’s and women’s jobs differ greatly, whether across sectors, industries, occupations, types of jobs, or types of firms. While these differences evolve with economic development, the resulting changes in the structure of employment are not enough to eliminate employment segregation by gender.
Female labor force participation is lowest in the Middle East (26 percent) Despite large cross-regional differences, participation rates have converged over time as countries and regions that started with very low rates (primarily the Middle East).
men and women are almost fighting for jobs like anything in middle east thats why instead of saying gender oriented we can say it as interest oriented
Jobs shouldn't be categorized according to his/her gender. If ones can do a certain job whatever the gender is shouldn't be discriminated.
Probably the jobs of Receptionist, Cashier, Bus Atendant, Seceretarial jobs, Cabin and Service crew jobs, Teaching, Admin Assistant and some times accountant type jobs are realted to females
Mostly jobs are in construction companies & due to these they prefer gender.
Marketing jobs are gender-oriented and Middle East Shows no partiality to any gender in regard to jobs.
