Why copper plate electrodes is used for earthing the neutral of power transformer? Can rod or pipe electrode be used instead of plate electrode here?

Dear, I could not find any code including NEC/NFPA that restricts the usage of Copper Plate Electrodes to earth the Neutral of the Power Transformer. You can go for Copper Plates, Copper Rods, GI Pipes, Mild Steel Pipes, but the restriction is to achieve the particular grounding resistance of the Neutral path which is stated in standards.

 

If you have any code/standard reference, please revert.
