TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,

This query can be a challenging task and may require extra effort from us to focus on what is essential to do, and how can consider the following criteria in searching for Data entry jobs as well as other jobs of our concern by the same methodology:

== A data-entry job is one of the easiest entry-level jobs to qualify for: A big portion of the workforce is from the computer era, and knows how to use computers.

== Perhaps the obstacle is that you've seen and read so many misleading advertisements making unrealistic claims about being able to making thousands of dollars per day doing data entry work. Stop and think now - did any of those advertisements ever claim that they were actually accepting applications or hiring? They didn't.

== The problem with looking for work-from-home data-entry sites is that many aren't legitimate and require payment to find work. There are, however, sites where you can find legitimate data-entry jobs that have no fees.

== In fact, these advertisements are considered "income opportunities" - not jobs. And, for $39, $59, $99 or whatever you can buy someone's information on how to try this "opportunity" yourself. Most of these opportunities include some person's version of instructions on how they use Google AdSense Ads and Adwords to make money online.

== The thing is, the actual typing or data entry that occurs is simply an after-thought. You've got to know how to write these advertisements and where to place them, to say the least.

=1= Do your homework:

-                     Let the word "JOB" be your first clue. I'm pretty sure that the word JOB is synonymous with work and being paid wages. The best way to avoid data entry scams is to learn what constitutes a legitimate data entry job.

-                     You cannot simply decide you want to do on-line data entry and search for a company. Legitimate on-line data entry jobs are like any other traditional job: You need skills and experience and must first provide a resume or completed application.

-                     Any data entry job charging a fee is not a real job. Many of these scammers are clever and will indicate the fee is to cover expenses or to verify you're serious about getting a job. But legitimate employers don't charge fees.

=2= Raise your Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

-                     Considerable knowledge of the common procedures involved in related office practices.

-                     Knowledge of basic and advanced features of standard and specialized (as required) software.

-                     Ability to maintain records and to prepare comprehensive reports, meet minutes, etc.

-                     Ability to make arithmetic calculations, assign and check the work of others.

-                     Ability to handle a wide variety of office related duties.

-                     Skill and proficiency in recording and typing data rapidly.

-                     Skill in operating standard and electronic business office equipment, personal computers and equipment related to the work assigned.

-                     Personal Attributes Required like Self-Motivated, Good Interpersonal Skills, Dependable and Attention to Detail.

=3= Create your professional resume.

-                     Market your data entry skills directly to companies in need. Many are downsizing and need help. Some outsourcing companies need help with overflow work. These are good places to contact.

-                     On-line data entry jobs are competitive, so you need a resume highlighting your skills and experience in this area. It should include your typing speed, skills and experience in relevant software and equipment. If you have data entry experience in a specific field such as medicine, highlight that as well.

=4= Job Search Sites and Methodology of Search:

a-                 Search for jobs only on job search websites. Don't use search engines to find data entry work. However, remain vigilant for scams even on job search websites.

b-                 Remember, if a job asks for money, it is not a job. Legitimate data entry job announcements will require a skill set and experience and perhaps ownership of the necessary hardware or software.

c-                 Look for data entry work on free-lance job sites. Elance.comand other bid-for-work sites list many data entry projects. While these jobs are competitive and often short-term, they can be good sources for gaining skills and experience.

d-                 Use job-listing websites, such as Craigslist and Yelp. Use "need data entry services" and other search terms that job advertisers will likely use to attract job seekers. Research a company before applying to ensure you don't waste your time with frauds.

e-                 Job-search sites such as Career Builderand Randstad normally give you a place to fill in the type of job you're looking for and a city. The site then lists jobs in that area. Click on a job to find out how to apply. Some scams may post ads on career sites, though, so be careful.

f-                  Use search engines like Google and Bing to find data entry companies that are currently hiring. Use specific keywords instead of broad ones. For example, you would use "looking for data entry jobs from home" instead of "data entry jobs." Longer search terms typically provide results that yield fewer scam opportunities.

g-                 Read quality blogs, websites and forums related to working at home or doing data entry. These places usually have a list of legit companies that hire people to do data entry. Avoid self-promotional websites. Some websites have information that is only beneficial to the owner and not the reader.

h-                 Subscribe to quality services, such as Hoovers, which gives its subscribers a list of legit data entry companies. These services typically provide you with some information about each company, such as its financial standings and direction.

i-                   A newspaper is a great place to find a data entry job. Data-entry jobs are often entry-level jobs that don't require a lot of experience, so most companies don't mind putting an ad in the newspaper. It is cheaper than hiring an agency to find employees. Some data-entry scams find their way into newspaper ads as well, so be careful.

j-                   Telephone Book: Leaf through just about any type of business in the phone book and think about whether that type of business would need information typed into forms. These businesses probably have data-entry jobs. Call and ask whether data-entry jobs are available. If not, keep them in mind for later if they do employ data-entry workers.

k-                 Rat Race Rebellionis a website that searches the web looking for legitimate work-from-home opportunities, separating them from scams. Rat Race Rebellion estimates there are57 scams for every legitimate online job. It keeps a list of sites that are legit, and you can try the site's Administrative and Clerical section for data-entry opportunities.

l-                   Use Better Business Bureau (BBB)to check the reputation of a company. On BBB, websites receive a rating on a scale of A+ through F based on any filed complaints. By using BBB, you can protect yourself from the majority of frauds.

Be Positive in your life and best wishes,
