Usually none, since I am holding a senior position in a very busy environment it is not easy even to answer my phone calls.  in all cases I see that Social Media is a very important part of our lives today it is good to stay connected but surly does not recommend or allow the employees to waste their productivity time on them, it should be done within our private time not during working hours

Social Media is part of our world today, and it is very difficult to prohibit employees from accessing. I believe that excess use is definitely a waste of time and can seriously damage productivity. However we must consider that that most employees cannot stay focused in front of a pc for a full shift and social media access is considered to be a quick "get away".  This can be taken into account from the company, and develop an internal social media application, in which employees can post news/updates from their section, enabling the rest taking a quick break while at the same time enhancing organisations learning experience and internal communication,

I am a digital marketing professional so engaging with social media is what I do for a living. The majority of my time on social media is used to enhance a brand's awareness and digital footprint.

I agree with above answers that social media if used during breaks or when work done or using social media as break from routine tiresome work is useful and will motivate the employees. But during working hours it has to be used in limited and more focus should be on the work

Social networking is important at work. It stimulates positive relationships between peers, hence cultivates respect and mutual understanding. In addition, it motivates employees and make them more happy, engaged and dedicated at work. which means, more production. However, employees should minimize social networking during their work time, as this would distract others and thus decrease level of productivity. It is advisable to keep social networking during break times, however, spending 5 to 10 minutes on a 8 hrs working basis to salute a peer or a 20 minutes birthday celebration is OK. Spending more than that might be considered distraction to others and a waste of time.

A small distraction from work never hurts. You need to refresh your mind every 20 minutes to get more focus. Thus in my opinion if not done in excess, accessing social network is OK.

Social networks is a huge part of our modern time, and a very successful source of improvement. If used during breaks it can enhance employee motivation thus increasing his/her productivity. However, if it used excessively during the working hours, It can be a waste of time and destructive if employees use it to take their minds off work.

As per my view Social Media is a quintessential thing with an advent of technology in modern world. However, its use should be limited as overuse may result into addiction and distraction at work place.

In my current work, we are not allowed to spend time on social media. I used to monitor the company  social media and give advises on what to do and what not to do. Social media is important but better to restrict to one employee only to avoid wasting the company time.

Social networks are now becoming an integral part as an effective tool to bridge communication gap horizontally and laterally among management and employees across organizations.

Within the organization, we have added features to our intranet such as  social media features (i.e. likes, follow, hashtags, newsfeeds, commenting etc.) and communities among others that are designed to increase interaction among employees.

Additionally, we've ensured that the intranet has become a one-stop shop for news and knowledge by adding and streamlining ONE location for up-to-date news (replacing independent departmental or divisional newsletters), as well as, the addition of a WIKI feature that allows employees to post technical or non-technical knowledge or best practices to share across the organization.
