Hi Lana and Syed, thanks for the A2A. I'm going to break this is in two parts. One that talks about the program. And the next that talks about the amazing results it can drive for your business'. So, what is a Brand Ambassador Program? It’s a program that recruits individuals to represent a brand. Brand ambassadors are an extension of the mission and values of the brand. The relationship between brand and ambassador are crucial to the success of the program. This is accomplished by promoting the brand and creating positive experiences for the ambassador and those the brand is trying to reach and connect with. Brand ambassadors may be paid with money, services, products, or resources. Payment of any kind is not imperative for one to be a brand ambassador.

People pay more attention to their friends than they do your advertisements

The effective way for your business to “break through the marketing clutter” is to work through people’s social networks online and off. Traditional media advertisements is being tuned out. Think about whether you are really reaching people and if they are really listening. Often with Google or Facebook advertising it takes thousands of ad impressions before you get just one click. The average click through rate on the socialHP platform is 205% (based on 6,171 Blasts). That means each time you Blast, at least 2.05 of their friends will click on your content. Another way to think about that is that you can expect two clicks per ad impression.

That’s simply amazing.

It takes an army to influence

Your brand ambassadors in turn will become more loyal to your product

The “Loyalty Ripple Effect” suggest customers can contribute to their own satisfaction by their participation in the service delivery process. Moreover loyal customers often engage in positive customer behaviour labelled “customer voluntary performance” such as picking up trash, busing tables, or reporting burnt out light bulbs and messy changing rooms to an employee. I like what you like

A social media brand ambassador (or SMBA as we like to call them) is someone who does this for your company on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, and they are gold to your company.

Hope this helps!

They happen to be within the organization in a form called: EMPLOYEES! then the brand reputation could be leveraged by people who happened to be customers, some of them employees, who are happy with it and will start to talk about it in a positive way, or defend it when things could go wrong. But the best embassador for your brand are the people withing the organization and they should picture their "embassy" as the best place in the world to work. I know this is a HR nightmare to deal with because it opens doors to change and that is against most HR politics unless supported by top management.

Brand ambassadors are chosen figures to present your brand by endorsing/using/reviewing a given product. For example, I own an ASUS ROG gaming laptop, if ASUS contacted me and sent me some tech to review and showcase while using it and allowing me to keep it; this would make me a brand ambassador of ASUS. Someone who likes the brand and always willing to recommend it and discuss its traits.

The NEW (digital) nomenclature for this time-honored tradition is a more generic 'influencers'. Simply put, a 'brand ambassador' is the brand's 'human face'. Why? Humans 'engage' with other humans more effectively. Especially if these ambassadors exemplify the aspirations of a multitude of people. But though 'celebrity' endorsements are/have been the norm, the 'common man' (irrespective of gender) is the brand new dark horse of the SM world. Quirky, interesting, thought-provoking and above all, identifiable, is this new icon of the digital world,

The importance of having a brand ambassador is important when it comes to raising brand awareness, sales or communicating. The brand ambassador duties are commonly carried out by global, well-recognised and influential celebrities, politicians, athletes and others.

However, I think in today’s digital age, the brand ambassador has developed and changed when it comes to marketing.  Many businesses find that it is much easier to reach a larger following when using digital. The power of digital allows businesses to have numerous brand ambassadors to represent and raise brand awareness.

Overall, I think we are seeing a big change in how brand ambassadors were used before and how they are utilized in today’s digital age.

Brand Ambassadors generally an influential person e.g. sportsman, movie star, administrator (politician) who is followed by a huge mass in a particular region is used in the content of a campaign or advertisement to promote a product/service/cause/event etc.

The brand ambassador is generally chosen based on the number of followers (on social media) or in general being idolized by people/ has high fan following in the region or internationally

For e.g.,

1. A footballer Ronaldo being used by a sports wear company would impact fan followers of Ronaldo to associate the product to Ronaldo and thus influence in making a purchase decision while buying sports wear.

2. Shah Rukh Khan: is an iconic movie star in India and has very high influence nationwide. The products which chooses Shah Rukh Khan as a brand ambassador are being used by people just because they are Shah Rukh Khan's fan.

Choosing a Brand ambassador also helps in creating a better brand image based on the objective of the product/service/cause/event. Associating the product/service/cause/event to choose a particular brand ambassador and his/her fan following is a key of this strategy.

The content created choosing brand ambassador also helps in retaining the brand image of the product/service/cause/event for a longer time.
