Thanks

Developing ourselves come from accumulative experience and work regardless the environment is bad or good.

Only person who has will can do it without leaving his-her principles.

My values always stay with me come what may. A person has to be flexible but not flexible enough to change his own character and values and principles which he is identified with and known for.  Yes there is a risk of upsetting people due to you values and way of working but I should be able to take risk for my own development and career progression.  Without risk that is not happening.  For me its a very simple rule.  DO WHAT IS RIGHT.  I know how that sounds but for me that has worked.  Yes i have suffered but so be it.

Your principles are some of your defining characteristics and you shouldn't ignore them in any given situation.

In a negative and competitive environment, you should stick to your principles and ignore the "internal fire" within the company. By being efficient, effective, punctual, creative and polite, it is only a matter of time before the upper management notices the difference, appreciates you and eventually rewards you for your productivity and ethos as well.

I hope I was helpful.
