A good marketing strategy or a GTM(go to market) should be drawn from market research and focus on the product line mix in order to achieve the maximum profit and sustain the business vision for growth. The marketing strategy is the foundation of any marketing plan.

The STP(Segementation,Targeting,positioning) is important in planning any marketing strategy.Through segmentation,you can identify niches with specific needs, mature markets to find new customers, deliver more focused and effective marketing messages.

Any time you suspect there are significant, measurable differences in your market, you should consider STP. Especially if you have to create a range of different messages for different groups.

Marketing strategy both influences and is influenced by overall organizational strategies. It has a primary customer focus in selecting who should be customers and then guiding what and how to sell to them.Your existing and potential customers fall into particular groups or segments, characterised by their 'needs'.

Identifying these groups and their needs through market research and market reports, and then addressing those needs more successfully than your competitors, should be one of the key elements of your marketing strategy.

There are several aspect in creating a successful marketing strategy,business goals and objectives which needs to be achieved should be carefully planned and executed at every step for desired results.
