Experience in the food and beverage, culinary,

Responsibilities: 1. To deliver superior customer service levels2. Work with chefs and other personnel to plan menus that are flavorful and popular with customers3. Meets restaurant financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions4. Supervise operation of bar to maximize profitability, minimize legal liability and conform to alcoholic beverage regulations; Overseeing stock level and supplies orders5. Work with other management personnel to plan marketing, advertising, and any special restaurant functions and help building brand value6. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues7. Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service8. Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas9. Training, and scheduling of food service personnel and orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions for restaurant staffs10. Be energetic and have the ability to motivate staffs and improve performance11. Perform other duties as assigned by management

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

Qualifications: • Degree from a top hospitality business school is an advantage• Significant operational experience within F&B or hospitality industry• Experience in Fine Dining restaurant operations• Strong knowledge in food safety and hygiene• Creativity and thinking out of the box• Commercial thinking • Technical knowledge and understanding• Experience in franchising operations• Strong communication skillsSkills: • Fluent Arabic & English in speaking and writing• Other languages are an advantage• Good financial understanding• All MS office programs and POS software, • Strong communication and presentation skills• Lead by example and hands on

 

Competencies: • Ability to lead the team • Leadership and communication skills• Flexibility and creativity• Ability to develop solutions for uncommon challenges • Ability to represent the company’s/brands interests

Given my current designation I cannot see myself as a restaurant manager as my skills set are not compatible with that job description, however, if it was about marketing that restaurant then that would be something I could do in a heart beat.

Eelkhbiry, i can see myself as a restaurant manager, management is about providing leadership and guidance to the workers, it does matter what product or service one is offering.  one can take the initiative as a learning process to learn and understand the product or service been offered by the restuarant . I  may not have a degree in hospitality, however i can apply my knowledge in Sales and market to provide the required leadership, supervision and  i continuing learning about restaurant business.
