Unlike any other plc.siemens are easily to maintain, you dont need to reprogram or download the entire code if your want to change a part of it and keeping the process running.siemens also is comparative inexpensive and can do mostly the common function of every plc.

Siemens PLC programming is simpler than any other PLCs in that it has detail step by step programming procedure which enable middle level programmers to program easily. Second, it uses inbuilt block diagrams for programming Complex functions

- Siemens PLC's have an option called multi-instance calling.... It is an option in which a set of code can be used multiple times with different sets of data..... This reduces overall size and complexity of an application.

- we can reprogram or download the code at running of process

- maintaince is easy

Communication with slave devices is relatively easy in Siemens

SIEMENS PLC has rugged, compact, vast modular structure, i.e. it can be equipped with different types of modules, network architecture for communicating with SIEMENS or third party systems and different controller options including High Availability H Systems, Safety Systems F/FH, Process Control Systems PCS and hot swapping functionality. Also SIEMENS has made it simple and efficient in order to work in PLC and HMI simultaneously using only one software workplace environment that is TIA Portal.

This is good question,There are different brands of PLC in the world. But the Siemens brand is mostly uses in industries. In Gulf 80 percent industries use Siemens PLC and 20 percent other brand.

Siemens is comparatively inexpensive, allows you to program the software to customize different program blocks but requires more computer programming knowledge.

The industry is prone to leaning toward cheaper softwear and making economy cutbacks ,Siemens on the other hand has been on the market for a long time and companies that are new in the automation business are given the trial offer on the Symatec Step 7 programs from basic to professional ,after which they report an increase in production at a lower cost from some other developers. Since the controllesrs are already installed and softwear is updated ,the companies just continue using them. In my opinion Siemens is fairly easy to use and learn the basic version. Cost effective and compatible to other programs in the industry. And one more thing : people accept Siemens as an major companie and tend to "go with flow" as where other programs are less used and not compatible with their automation systems .
