In my opinion the most challenges that facing the team leader is the building of recognized award system which differentiate between individual awards based in their contribution and the awards of the team as a whole.

For me, the best challenges that a team leader may experience is that training different kind of employees because staff training have different attitude that you cannot handle by yourself
1. Staying motivated.
2. Maintaining focus.
3. To be respected and to be liked.
4. Balancing the needs of the organization and the needs of people.
It would be the cooperation of the members. All the burden of the entire group will be shouldered by the team leader. So if there is not enough team work and cooperation, the team leader would be the one that can lead everyone to work with unity.
