One deals with a project, its resources, challenges and goals. Projects are time-limited. PMs sometimes need to take different roles, ranging from being administrators, to a form of accountant, to providing actual leadership to mostly liaising with the customer.Business Management deals with operating a company according to the guidelines set by its board. Businesses exist for an indefinite period of time. This is usually the role of a CEO. It takes a wider set of skills compared to a PM. The primary, I believe, is the ability to effectively delegate.Companies that have a project-oriented business model often have a person whom PM's answer to on their leadership team. This allows the CEO to get reports of resource allocation and combined with sales, making financial predictions.
business management has no definite time ,it is diversity management which is framed by policies and procedures which apply to any body in that management its delegation is high specially on financial issues its decision is collective and spread widely over all activities , where as project management depends on finite time starting from time of execution , to technical issues, logistics , work force supervision and guidance yet it is not the higher delegation on financials , and it is fully concerned by execution of the specific projects in success
Business Management deals with the entire business and Project Management deals with a specific project, There can be several Project in a business and Vice Versa is not possible.
