Any process against banks should not been initiate, such request should be raised with concern head/department for clarification if any policy would have be amended by legal/compliance team and can be documented as process which is not under your notice.after all such information.line manger request can be accepted or refuse
Process after obtaining deviation approval from higher management including the manager's signature and also log it as an exception in the EGRC system keeping the audit informed.
Re-check the updates of the bank internal policy if its still against the policy i will ask him to send me an official email requesting the task from me in order to keep my self in the safe side and i will do it

Ask your manager to send you an email and you could discuss these issues with your Compliance team confidentially.
In any organisation you are responsible for your behavior. If there is an audit and you are caught the manager concerned will not save you. You can loose your job, have a bad reputation and can also be arrested if you do any thing against the bank polo\icy. Hence do not be a yes man always. You shold know when to say no. Try to be diplomatic but honest.
