In answer of your question, i should tell that personally i have no experience of using snap-chat on my smartphones. But, since i am using WP smartphones (NOKIA LUMIA series) i recognized some obvious running problems during performing Instagram on my WP smartphone. I wish, Snap-chat has a platform for WP smartphones, first. Second, if it is true, i wish Snap-chat does not have Instagram problems on WP smart phones.
I think Facebook wants to make Snapchat obsolete by creating the same features and value for customers. Since Snapchat refused to be acquired by Facebook, Facebook has become very active in its actions to destroy Snapchat. I personally no longer find Snapchat useful since Instagram Stories has some great features that are not present in the Snapchat app. The only thing missing is the facial recognition overlays
I can't really comment since I don't use it but its a double edged sword; it will pollute the online space with similar "selfie" stories rather than anything useful; yet another platform adopts this approach meaning that spam content would increase.
