What is more important in a blog, the quality of the content or good marketing?

Both are important for a blog, good marketing would create an urge to have a visit at your blog to the mass and quality material would satisfy the readers and would earn their loyalty to visit your blog on regular basis, 

Marketing is effective for bringing readers for the first time, but quality material would urge them to visit again. 

Marketing without a good content is a waste of resources. Marketing can get your increased views but it is the quality of your content that converts first time visitors into subsequent followers.

both are important, but !! 

if you wanna sale it only " marketing"

if you wanna got long term customers for sure is "the Quality of content"

Then if we are witting for something the clients will search for it you need to be more technical and if the article will be shown like advertisement or in social media without search you need to enrich marketing impression.

The quality of the content is more important 

Content is always more important. Marketing can surely move your blog forward but it would lose readership rapidly/instantly if the content is not upto the mark and can't live up to the marketing. There are many cases content creators are called out for false advertising so your content is most important.

i think the marketing is more important , because its the first step to know about your blog then the the content .

Both quality and marketing goes together in some ways. If your content has a good quality, then the marketing is already up and running.

Both are very important. Good content did not get more attention until it is market well.
