Qualification level of a candidate is one of the eligibility criteria which must be met by all shortlisted candidates in order to secure an interview call. Once the candidate interview starts - he get's tested for his actual knowledge, skills, aptitude and attitude. Hence, both parameters have their own importance in candidate selection!
50 - 50
Example (1): A highly qualified candidate with bad attitude may harm the whole working environment, distributing negative energy to others.
Example (2): An excellent attitude candidate with less qualifications will not fit his job technically.
So, I believe that attitude & qualifications should have equal weight in the evaluation process !
" It is always", " Qualification weigh over attitude", not other way.
My thought on this - Weigh is equal to both education/experience and attitude. Right experience.education with right attitude is very important now a days to deal with people. As economy is focusing on globalisation and so balance is very important. Experience and attitude are not every time proportionate. Sometimes less experienced or educated person does wonders on job rather than experienced once. and sometimes people with good qualification can be pain sometimes if there attitude is not right. and so Education and attitude weigh equal for any individual.
Thanks for all colleagues reply above so for me both are required to consider in selection decision when qualification answer the question know how to do the tasks in terms of the job process
( Qualification = the knowledge ) while attitude it's about the manner we interact that knowledge with personal behaviour in workplace duties like in call center when the qualification its where the agent know the technical problems and solutions but the attitude its when the agent use his ton and influence the customer or when calming an upset customer
it is dependent on position and requirement and Job description
