Who is Elon Musk? What are some of his achievements?

Elon Musk is a business magnate, investor, engineer, and inventor widely known for inventions, ideas or breakthroughs that aim for a better world and environment. He is mostly known as the founder/CEO of SpaceX, Tesla Motors and X.com which merged with PayPal. He is also the co-founder and chairman of SolarCity.

According to Wikipedia: "Musk has stated that the goals of SolarCity, Tesla Motors, and SpaceX revolve around his vision to change the world and humanity" by -  for example - reducing global warming through sustainable energy production and consumption. Tesla Motors makes electronic cars that can be charged via regular electric outputs (110 & 220 volt)  with installed software that can be updated. Currently, their cars support auto-drive awaiting legal matters to be finalized about auto-driving.

SolarCity is the second largest provider of solar power systems in the United States. Along with Tesla Motors, it aims to reduce pollution and global warming by using environment-friendly source of energy rather than gas or petrol.

SpaceX originated from Musk's vision of setting up a human colony on Mars in case planet Earth or the human race were endangered and life on Earth was no longer possible (because of environmental crises caused by global warming and atomic weapons). The goal of SpaceX is creating technologies that would reduce space transportation costs and enable the colonization of Mars.
