That depend on personality itself , anyway, in order to overcome the shyness as a junior employee for example you need to follow ice break manner by collecting information about your position-company as many as you can, apply as a professional even you are junior in your new environment, listening to seniors more than chat with juniors.

To built a self-confidence  that needs courage and desire to do so, so person when he-she needs to overcome the shyness , he-she needs a courage to achieve this desire.
