What are the fundamental differences between computer science and computer engineering?

Computer Science programs tend to concentrate on individual assignments, dealing with the development of systems such as databases, compilers, and operating systems.But Computer engineering is anchored in real-world problems. Because Computer engineers apply professional judgment acquired through practical experience, their training is hands-on, project focused and team-centered.

Computer engineer deals with design of layer start from the  physical layer (hardware) and how it communicated with the others layer to reach application layer (the interface of devices ) understanding the language that used to encrypt the data and the method of communicate. By devices we mean not only computer all electronic devices even  that communicated by the network LAN or WAN and the integrated ,devices example the calculator.Include also networking design, network applications, network security server administration and some programming language such as Oracle, C++, ETC . the computer since .deal at most with the application layer that usually depend on programming 

Computer Science take care about Software & programs but Computer Enginner based or take care about hardware & how the computer work , the architecture of computers..

Computer science is take care abouts software instruction by fully understand and it looks like IT but richer information than IT in the other hand computers engineering is take care abouts hardware instruction by fully understand also a few software language like C++,java ,html...for programming ICs.
