Is it possible to save files in lower versions format from higher version software?

in Autocad, Yes you can save to older formats, also many software like Ms office package,  some other software don't allow this, like CSI safe & STAADPro

yes its possible like in auto cad we can save rl-2000 file to rl-2007

es we can save files in lower versions formats from higher version software all we need to do is to use "Save as" option in that software.
