Sometimes companies may create adverts or media posts that will bring them negative feedback from their customers. However, these companies might not necessarily worry about the negative feedback because they follow the principle of "Even bad marketing is good marketing". Do you agree with this statement? Why or why not?
Context is important here
No larger company would go for any "Negative Marketing" which will impact their "Brand Persona" or harm their image and do take lot's of precaution's before releasing an ad
But, many times companies do ad's with an different message or try to be "Over creative" and end being perceived differently
Best example would be ad of "Dunkin Donut" - which showed an ad with "Black faced women - black donut's & red lips".
As a marketer, i didn't feel offended about it but it was perceived as "Racist" & was widely debated issue -- Attaching here for everyone to see (Trust me, each one will have a different perception of it)
(Here, this awareness doesn't make any good to the company: As it's attracting negative image of the company even though the impressions/awareness of the brand is higher)
