Do you think top management should some times interact with employees who work on site? Or they should leave this to their Managers and Supervisors?

It is OK for  the CEO to chat with the employees during a field visit preferably  in presence of Managers/Supervisors. It boost the motivation and morale of the employees  and managers.

Top management interaction with the lower level employees gives not only motivation to the team but it also helps the management to understand or knowledge the realities on grounds too!

Well if the Top Management is going to interact with the site employees that would enable the managers to know the root problems and it would be a motivation for the employees as well that a manager is having the feedback by himself.

CHAIN OF COMMAND IS VERY ESSENTIAL TO THE TOP MANAGEMENT. 

Top management Interaction with employees is very helpfull  for motivation and understand the real problems of employees. interaction will give the motivation to employees and boost up speed of work which project they are doing.

It is absolutely great if the CEO chat's with an employee, at his Managers/Supervisors presence. It will motivate, increase the responsibility, and boost the morale of employee.

Employee will be always alert about the subject and matter and his work responsibilities and will always try to excel beyond his responsibilities.
