my opinion is yes, employees either old or new joined need to know the plan of management specially when it comes of company more project, a new plan for mobilizations, plan to for company to make it more progressive etc...so that employees will have more motivation at work and to stay more longer in the company, while other plan which is confidential for the company will not be. regards everyone...
Employees should be informed in a monthly meeting or through email what is s going on in the company, including management plans and how those plans may affect their Jobs. It makes the management plan transparent and informative.

The company should inform the staff plans for the company, however, everyone with their own thing, each individual according to his position should not be reported to the simple factor of plans for the future and how to profit and loss but can tell him need the company to new employees and plans to increase personnel and health insurance salaries and so on.
It all depending upon nature of sensitivity and need. In some context there should be shared to show them that they are how much important for the company and how they can contribute for company's success for their own dreams too!
Depending on the wages of the decisions taken.
