XREF > ATTACH IMAGE SELECT THE IMAGE YOU WANT

One way to insert an image in AutoCAD is by the IMAGEATTACH command, it's basically similar to attaching an XREF. Another way is to simply PICK & DRAG, from the windows explorer simply pick the image to select and drag to the model (or layout), pick a point and scale. Another way is to PASTE  the file from the windows explorer to your model (simply pick the file, press CTRL+C then go to the model/layout and press CTRL+V, pick the point and then scale the drawing.

  1. click insert then Raster image reference then browse for the image and choose it.
  2. you can specify the coordinate of the insertion point, the scale needed, rotation angle. otherwise you can specify them on the screen.

Just Control C Image and paste in Cad its easy...

one way is u insert the pic but in this way it will not "embed" u have to keep the path or in the same folder.

but if u will open ur pic in pic editor and and copy from there and now u paste in drawing it will be embeded and u will not have to keep the external reference.

Drag and drop the photo, click once to determine the location, click again to determine the scale, click one last time to determine the rotation, you can skip scaling and rotation by pressing space bar or enter after the first click
