In Microsoft Excel what is the use of "Shift Cells Down" and "Shift Cells Right" options?

Shifting cells down or right or left or up.

it one of the most important feature in excel.

let's say you have a list of items and you want to remove one item without changing the whole row. you can just remove the cell and shift the rest of cells up or down.

it will help to keep other columns an rows untouched.
