Dear All:- In my opinion, a leader must first evaluate the knowledge, skills, interest and tendency for possibly its all team members or the most important ones in order to give them right direction and show them, how doing these mentioned activities will not only prosper the organization but, it will also lead each individuals towards their attaining their respective goal. In short, a manger is a leader when he/she gives direction and that direction leads towards achievement for not only organization in specific but individuals as well.
In my humble opinion, a supportive manager should have the below qualities
1. Clear and concise direction
2. The ability to have courageous conversations
3. Ability to encourage frank two-way feedback and inculcate a positive dependability within the team

The Manager should be proactive in leading the team and always supportive & appreciated so that the members enjoy working with the team. The team member should work hand in hand to give produce the desired results.
