Currently, some of the most important problems that might be encountered by establishing an E-commerce firm are:
Competition for Shoppers: The competition for eCommerce sales is increasing globally.
Decreasing Brand Loyalty: The existing customer base is an important part of an eCommerce system, they needs to be exploited at the maximum for more sales.
Low Conversion Rates: Driving website traffic is somewhat an easy task, but converting that to a sale is where most of the E-Commerce companies fails.
Low Average Order Values (AOV): From the 75% of product searches that initiate online has a very less closing, only 8% of sales ultimately close online!
This points should be focused by establishing a business (E-commerce);
● Business process: The virtual and physical structures, ....etc.
● Product / Service: Competence, why should my product or service exist?,....etc.
● Market: Region, territories, marketing strategy, ....etc.
● Financing: ROI, ROE, turnover. ....etc.

Please rephrase your question. Difficulty in the design process, implementation or marketing? I did not understand the question because there is a start in e-commerce which is developing the platform, starting to sell and starting to dig into insights. All these are things you do when establishing an e-commerce project.
