Should schools add more subjects to their curriculum?

Schools are now teaching science, math, english, and other traditional subjects. Do you think other subjects should be added to benefit students later on in the future such as (time management, communication skills, etc.)?

Schools would rather focus on skills and skill-based curriculum to enable students to be self reliant adults in the future able to cope with the fast pace of social, economic and even political change. adding more subjects may not be as effective as adding new perspectives to the current ones, opening new horizons to learners and equipping them with the appropriate survival tools that would assist  them in their future jobs basically with problem solving and decision making.

i like first to congratulate you on the question. i prepare a Master in Management and Planning Education. i choose for my master's thesis the title (Education development and Kindergartens), and i detail 2 important subjects i see that they can play important role in the children's future:

  1. communication skills
  2. negotiation

it is not necessary to enter new subject or to remove subjects but we can modify the the methods of learning styles so they should include the subjects you talk about

Management is related to economy subject and communication skills / negotiation are part of Social studies. So the teacher has to create methods allowed the students to practice the management skills and the communication

Its better to first improve the quality of existing subjects, and then add new subjects.

Further, it is important to change the examination based focus to a holistic education perspective.

I don't think so because the main thing is quality not quantity.

To me this question should be yes but should or should not may  depend on the conditions  Think the knowledge as a building, if you associate the base strongly then the parts you add on it  is going straight forward. This is generally provided by school you graduated

YES ,THIS WILL HELP THE THE STUDENT TO SELECT THE SUBJECT ACCORDING TO HIS OWN CHOICEI.IT WILL ALSO INCREASE THE INTEREST AND MOTIVATIONAL LEVEL OF STUDANT

Real time working and understanding is more important than traditional subject learning. Innovative way of teaching is required on present subjects.

I think curriculum of today's modern schools is enough to elobrate the efforts of any child!

But the main and important think is methology of teaching.

Teacher must teaching in according to the levels of students.

Certain times it happens that teacher and managment forced for completing the course only either student understand or not, it not a headach of managment.

I wanto to suggest the subject must not be added to curriculum but methods of teaching bust be added.
