There are times where constructive criticism is to help us to eliminate mistakes or to do it better.
That we should embrace and not take it as we have done something wrong.
But when a boss does not listen what you have to say and later finds out that it was his mistake in the first place .... for these occasions protect yourself and keep copies of your proposal, so at the end it is not your mistake ...
Also remember if he does that in front of others, he shoots himself in the foot and it is known who did made the mistake in the first place ...
Be happy with that knowledge and let it go.

That's true for corporate life. If you want to change this situation, aim to be your own boss by starting a business.
A subordinate need to believe following things.
1- Good work need to be verified/validate and accepted by the higher authorities.
2- Doing mistakes does not means that you are not a good subordinate.
3- If you believe that you did correct does means its actually correct.
4- Your manager will look at your completed task in broad way and will compare it to expected results which you may miss.
5- You are possibly not fully aware of outcomes.
6- Highlighting mistake means highlighting opportunities missed by you.
No need to be upset if your manager is highlighting mistakes. Ask following questions from yourself without taking it negative.
1- How your manager is evaluating your work?
2- Is he highlighting same problems? If yes , then you have to correct them.
3- If he is highlighting new problems every times then you have to take them as opportunity of improvement.
4- Are you fulling aware about the expectations of your manager? if yes , then try to find what is being missed by you.
5- Are you just instructions follower or you are taring to add some additional values?
6- Just instruction follows will do less mistakes compare to value adders.
7- Do not take any thing personal. Just be positive.
8- Quantity your efforts
9- Try to understand the work style of your manager. May be some thing need to be additionally communicated from both sides.

Thank you for the invitation. If your boss points out some mistakes, you should counter them with reasons that actually defend what you are saying is correct so don't give your boss a reason to point out mistakes in your work.
