measurable goals mean objective.
So if we have a home appliances service company as an example we may set "customer satisfaction" as the company business outcomes the objectives for technical support department will be as:
1_ Decrease back calls tasks to be less than 1% in the next year.
2_ Increase the technician productivity by 20% in the next year
3_ Increase the percentage of satisfied customer to be overall 98%.(driven by customers happy calls)
Through measurable KPIs. KPIs are linked with JDs and Jds are directly tied to desired business outcomes associated with that particular position.
Thanks for invitation,
I- By creating "Standards Operations Performance", for each operation transaction covering:
1- Cost of high quality products ( including raw materials, manpower, maintenance, packing, handling,.....etc)
2- Delivery time.
II- Comparing actual performance with standard performance in order to be able to measure operations achievements for each transaction and any divination will clearly indicate:
1- Which operations activity exactly needs improvement ?
2- To what extent needs improvement ?
Thanks for invitation. The rationale may be in the reverse way.
First, we establish the business goals /objectives and yearly office work plan Now to achieve the objectives, there are several activities/task are to be completed. Now these activities and tasks are linked to individual Job description. Now to monitor performance and progress, we need to establish KPI so that each individual or Team performs accordingly so that yearly work plan is achieved.
Thanks
