I believe that the following points are the most popular downsides of being a secretary:
1- Their pay scale is not up to mark.
2- They are expected to serve everyone and to know everything.
3- The image of their job role is not impressive.
4- The job has limited career growth.
Sometime being a Secretary you have to act like a Robot, whatever you boss ask you to do you have to obey, not matter its you department or not. This way you can explore all departments experience.
Being a secretary you have the open sky for the learning, because you have to act on behalf to the boss, as well as you have to go through the policy making, administrative matters, and a lot behind the scene. Other hand mostly secretaries have to limited on secretarial work hence they do not make network for grooming or advancing the career therefore, they have to be labelled after some years. In all careers you have to make space by yourself and you have to explore opportunities for yourself.
