In my opinion, these are some of the reasons for brands to invest in, nurture and cultivate brand evangelists.

 

  • Your marketing team cannot keep brand conversation going on beyond a certain point in time; your evangelists can.
  • Evangelists are the people who personify your brand. 
  • Founder and the evangelists are only two people who carry a brand's message in their heart, every time. They are your PR / Sales team that never ask for commission or monetary compensation. 
  • They are the only people who "get it" and love you do. 
  • Evangelists are your "unfair advantage" over your competition.  

Creating evangelists is a whole new debate. But for this question, just imagine having a lot of Guy Kawasakis out there in the market and showing love and passion for your brand.
