Ego from any side is the most expensive way to solve problems and leaves no results. Successful company will never put many effort into fight, but into solving. But, efficient solving doesn't mean weak of negotiations and taking care of employee from every side he needs. No. It's about respecting deal. It's all about the results of employee. Based on that my time is measured and based on that you deserve my attention.  So the most important before ego, are facts. You were hired to do this. Did you? From here everything starts and ends. No ego, no spirituality, only facts and results. The only recipe for successful team, environment and bank account.
