You think your current job will not last long. As a back up You go to the intervew. You find out it is for a lower post and lower salary. But having landed up you do not want to get out half way. You have the offer letter but at the back of your mind you have a fear. Are you cheating some one. Can u give your hundred% to your old job. Have you done justice to the new firm if u do not join. Are u cheating yourself? though u have a confident feeling now that even if you are kicked out u have somewhere to go.
Being satisfied with the offer is a first step towards employee getting engaged with the company and his/ her new role. If the first step itself is on muddy waters, it is not going to help anyone involved. The applicant in question must not lose hope and negotiate for a fitting role/ compensation. If that doesn't work, elsewhere is the place to go!
Try somewhere else. Never loose the hope.
My comment is salary is not the major factor to decide in such a case. My measure is the real total income from the job, and I decide accordingly - putting in mind that other factors are not constant!.
This is a general problem....most of the people face...
