It would depend on so many other things apart from job stability. Explore the reasons why this candidate has been changing jobs frequently and then decide!

Either take him on contract for certain period of time or don't hire at all.

Thanks for the invitation, the answer is conditional ;

  • If the incumbent is required for a short term assignment only, then Yes, I can.
  • If the organization/ employer is following industry leading rewards strategies, Yes I may
  • If the candidate in past spent good amount of time in an organization which has nearly similar culture, Yes I may, but this is subject to assessment validation and would go for that candidate if the candidate is outstanding or in case I don't have an option to make choice.

Except all above, I won't think of hiring the candidate. However I would to meet and assess the candidate before taking a call.

Thanks for the invitation

you can hire him and define a probation period with conditional contract that make you feels good for both Company and candidate

  • Obviously you can hire such candidates for a contractor role but not for a full-time / contract to hire roles

I would give him a chance for an interview because possibilities are that the candidate in real might not be a job hopper, might not have worked in permanent positions throughout his/her career. Maybe he has been a contractor throughout his/her career. Offer contract position or contract to perm on the basis of performance.

There are people (HR professionals or Recruiters) who have a certain mindset with a  very rigid structure in place for recruitment.   Even if the candidate ticks all the right boxes, often recruiters fail to recruit the right candidate.

 If one candidate has a long term experience in one company he may considered not having variety of experience and on the other hand someone having worked in several companies may be considered a job hopper. Each to his own whether you want to live your life in a regressive fixed mindset or a growth mindset.

Look at the qualifications, skills sets and the depth of the experience of the candidate before you take a decision.

All the best.
