Wording, Formatting, Layout, style .... are tools that has to be carefully chosen by the sender, in order to help and ensure that his message is efficiently communicated to the receiver.  

For letters , it depends on type of letter such as highly legal , formal letters etc. In case of contractual letters , one should be particular about the legal terms & wordings . For other letter related points, I am with Mr.Omar Saad .

It determines the impact of your personality, impact of your organization and professionalism.
