By training an employee within their own working environment where they can use the tools and equipment which will be needed to carry out their specific role, it is far better than to try to simulate this in an external setting.

The employee can be given specific job training and can be shown what to do and as they practice under the supervision of more experienced staff, they’ll gain more confidence in their work as well as the trainer being able to guide them towards doing the job correctly and being on hand to point out any errors and to give feedback. In addition to the job training being tailored to specifically suit the needs of the company and its workforce, this also allows a new trainee to be integrated far more easily and quickly into the company as opposed to them learning similar skills externally which might not be entirely suitable for the specific role they’re being asked to do.

Additionally, worker training within the company also means that the employee is actually working as they are learning and they’ll become more productive as they become more adept.

From a financing perspective, it’s also a very cost effective method for the company of imparting skills and knowledge that are specific to the company’s needs.

The key need is how to do the job correctly and practically in the workplace and work space. That means helping others to perform well within the actual work environment on the real ground. This is one major difference between theory and practice. You can give lectures and deliver theoritical trainings which fail to push others to perform correctly in real life.

Immediate benefits to the organisation are:

- Faster learning

- increased productivity

- improved communication

- Instantaneous feedback

- better team relations

On the job trainings mostly conduct by the certified coworkers to ensure colleagues who’s lacking behind the skills or knowledge regards to their day to day operation.  Why the on the job training conduct in the same workplace  not in the assessment centers , cause on the job training utilized same equipment, tools, documents, technology and knowledge  which necessary for colleagues do their job effectively with proper demonstration.

The immediate impacts on this training objective are; its gives the common ground to colleagues that they will be more comfortable with the training. This helps to increase the better communication level between trainer and trainee.

On the Job training is a valuable training intervention by which employees are made to learn directly by deploying them in the work area. This ensures that employees gain practical and relevant exposure which makes it easier for staff to perform better without much time lag. They also learn the complexities and challenges of the real world as distinguished from ideal management scenario projected in classroom environment. However, this needs to be supervised under a coach or departmental head so that the relevant trait and behaviour are learnt. When I was in State Bank of India, the probationary and trainee officers were trained for more than 15 months in on-the-job training before being placed in their respective roles.
