Work ethics cannot be trained however an employee can be disciplined to meet company needs.
Ethics, Honesty, Behavior and Attitude cannot be trained to employees
The purpose of providing training is to make sure the new entry is aware about the culture and standard of the organization. There is no topic which cover in the training such as "what we expect from you". The employee is been hired based on his skills and qualifications, therefore one cannot train an employee to improve his/her attittude and behaviour, but can put something in trainiing to iprove his/her skillset.
Any and all skills can be taught and learnt however "mindset" to achieve and accomplish something extraordinary cannot be taught or learnt, it needs to come from within.
We usually identify training needs of employees to improve skill or change behavior but there are some behaviors is difficult or impossible to change or enhance such as integrity and ethics.
Attitude towards task should come from within and is not taught but coached
Being a human, we cannot train someone to be exactly like someone else because everyone have different Skill Set.
It's difficult to change an employees
1. outlook to life through the prism of their career.
2. time management i.e. punctuality
3. personal habits i.e. religion and work ethics
The fact that these 3 are difficult to change does not however mean that they are unchangeable but it takes effort.
Having a professional attitude; time management; personal behaviour and positive interaction with others
