In my opinion Customer Service is being misinterpreted now a days. I have seen people swinging directly to the feet of the customer even though the its customers fault. However after been taught customer representative skills also some people fail to attempt in a proper way, Its a skill that everyone applies in their daily lives such as speaking to a friend, relative, office colleagues its something from within a person if taught correctly brings greater results with self respect.
Hi Joe Seychell
In my opinion it is about personality. if someone can be described as a customer oriented either or service oriented, so he has high Customer Service skill, if not, you can control his attitude via company policy and procedure.
Customer services can be taught but in my opinion it depends highly on individual attitude, public relations, i dont think everyone can do customer services if he/she dont have the right attitude
How to present oneself can be taught, how to speak can be taught as well but how to care, that is something that one has to learn and then deliver the same. and that can be done only when we understand our customer's stated and unstated needs.
They are both for me. Like me I didn't study customer service prior to being employed to a customer service oriented company. The people around me were the ones who taught me everything about how the customer service should be at the company. Then after years of experience it became a part of me. Became my personality, like I treat customers the way I want to be treated. I tried my best not to disappoint my customers because I know how it feels to be disappointed. Pretty much taught me more about how am I today.
I believe that anybody can be somebody if they really want it. No excuses.
Thank you for the invitation
Customer service skills start with your dealings with your family and friends and then you need lessons for good formation nor anyone can be good at customer service. Greetings
